Urban Decay Electric Palette Review and Swatches

I've had the pleasure of owning this palette for around a year now. This is one of my most-loved palettes. While not generally considered an everyday palette, many of these colours can be incorporated into everyday looks.

First of all, can we talk about how bad-ass the packaging is?!

The Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette consists of ten pigments in a variety of colours. The saturation of colour in each shade is fantastic. I find some shades kind of chalky, but there is usually little to no fallout. The chalkiness does affect the pigmentation slightly, which is the only drawback of this palette.
Colours like Chaos are incredibly buttery (more so than the Lorac palettes, in my opinion), but shades like Savage and Thrash are a little rough, and the result of this is less pigment.

The shades Urban, Savage, and Slowburn are listed as not for use in the immediate eye area. Use at your own risk in this case, as some red dyes are slightly irritating to the skin. I use Urban all the time and have no issue other than a very slight tingling sensation.

Have a good eye makeup remover handy, as these pressed pigments get hard to remove if densely packed on, even with an eye base.

All swatches done without primer.

Revolt - Super shimmery silver; awesome for a bright inner corner highlight when you want to add extra glam to a smokey eye. Use with a light hand.
Gonzo - Bright turquoise blue, slight sheen, and very subtle glitter.
Slowburn - Bright reddish-orange. This shade really pops on deeper skin tones! Normally I'd shy away from orange on the face but I love this shade. Also could be used as a coral/orange blush if applied with a super light hand, similar to Tangerine by Make Up For Ever.
Savage - Bright, Barbie pink. Slightly chalky feel, but applies nicely. This is definitely a shade in which primer or an eye base is a must, as it is quite hard to remove!
Fringe - Deep blue teal. Such a beautiful all over lid shade. Super buttery and heaped with micro-glitter.
Chaos - Incredibly buttery, crazy pigmented marine blue. I was blown away by the quality of this pigment. It doesn't show up muddy on darker skin tones, which is a huge plus in my books. Can be blended out for subtlety, as shown in one of my eye looks below.
Jilted - Soft, metallic magenta with a subtle blue duochrome effect. Looks lovely when blended with Urban, as shown in one of my eye looks below.
Urban - Possibly my favourite purple ever! Very pigmented; looks even better when applied wet. Shown in one of my eye looks below.
Freak - Iridescent bright green with a hint of gold shimmer. Also a shade that's fallen victim to the chalkiness of the palette.
Thrash - Lime green-yellow, with subtle sheen. Another chalky shade; I had to do two swipes to show the proper colour.

Chaos on Outer V, Revolt in middle for added shine, and Half Baked, also by Urban Decay, in inner lid.
