My Liquid Lipstick Collection & Swatches

Over the past year, I've accumulated several liquid lipsticks. Liquid lipsticks are starting to become way more mainstream now, with practically every company coming out with new formulas and colours every week. I love liquid lipsticks; provided the formula is right, they can be non-drying, transfer-proof, and really long lasting. I would take a matte lip over any other finish any day, which is probably why my collection is growing more and more.

The NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams are probably one of the most moisturising lipsticks I've tried. They smell like cake batter and the selection of colours is fantastic. Abu Dhabi is a beautiful brown nude, and Copenhagen is a lovely vampy red with purple undertones.

The Sephora Cream Lip Stains are one of the first liquid lipsticks I've tried and I have to say I prefer the formula compared to other higher end brands I've tried. Marvelous Mauve is said to be close to a Kat Von D Lolita dupe, and Endless Purple, while discontinued, is probably my favourite shade of liquid lipstick I own.

I picked up the Make Up For Ever Aqua Rouge Lipsticks at IMATS last year. The formula is very drying, but these babies do not move once applied on the lips. It comes with a clear gloss end to add shine. 9 is a lovely deep red, and 11 is an even deeper red with burgundy.

I stumbled upon these Lip Pigments at a beauty supply store in my area and had to grab a couple. These dry really fast and are quite moisturising on the lips. Backstage is a deep purple, and Secret is a beautiful red with slight purple undertones.

I had to jump on the Lolita bandwagon out of sheer curiosity on how it would look against my skin tone. Lolita (3rd release) is such a beautiful shade of deep brownish pink and looks great against my skin. It is just dark enough to not look washed out against my skin tone, so anyone with deeper skin may not have luck with this shade.

This is probably the creamiest liquid lipstick formula I own. Unfortunately after a couple of uses, the gasket in the cap that gets rid of excess product stopped working, so every time I pull out the applicator there are globs of lipstick that I have to wipe off. A bit of a bummer, but this deep red with brown undertones makes up for it in its wearability and comfort.
